Giles Gill

I started playing golf aged 13 and have been hooked ever since. I progressed quickly as a junior and by the age of 18 I secured a Division 1 scholarship to play golf at Texas State University in the US. As a student athlete at Texas State University I obtained a degree in Finance and graduated in 2019.

I turned pro in September 2019 off a handicap of +4. I immediately gained invitations to play on the MENA tour (Middle Eastern, North African tour). Participating in these events gave me an official world golf ranking. In 2020 I secured my full MENA tour card and since then I have played professionally in Europe, Jordan, Egypt, Bahrain, Oman and the United Arab Emirates including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Unfortunately the tour was suspended in 2020 due to COVID 19. As a touring professional, the lowest official world ranking I achieved was 1819.

Whilst playing professionally, I have also developed my knowledge and skills as a golf coach. My interest in coaching originated from my fascination with the technicalities of the golf swing. In addition, as a player I suffered from a lot of injuries which sparked a desire to understand how the body and the golf swing work together. This is what led me to becoming a TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) coach. I have completed TPI Level 1 and Level 2 Golf, Power and Junior Certifications. I have also gained my WedgeMatrix Certification by James Ridyard and am Trackman Level 1 and 2 qualified.

Following extensive study, I have recently become a fully qualified Leadbetter coach which has allowed me to hone and develop my technical knowledge and skills taking my coaching to a whole new level.

I have worked with many leading coaches. I have shadowed Shauheen Nakhjavani (PGA Tour Coach), Alex Riggs (PGA Tour Coach), Andy Proudman and Piers Ward from Me and My Golf, Karl Morris (The Mind Factor), Hugh Marr (European Tour Coach) and Jeremy Bennett (European Tour Coach) which has given me an opportunity to learn from some of the best in the industry. I plan to continue shadowing great coaches as I believe a good golf coach should always continue to learn and develop their knowledge.
